Yesterday, we have learned the sad news about the death of Ron van Pomeren, aka Arvi Pingus.
He was deeply involved in the Dutch Mandriva community, as well as in international forums, and lately he was very interested in the development of our association. More important, for many of us he was a friend, even a mentor.
With great sadness we express our sincere condolences to his family and relatives.

PS: in the former Mandriva forum, his avatar was the flying seagulls of the OpenOffice branding. He used to say that his location was “The Netherlands, behind the dunes”.
May he now be free as the seagulls. May the dunes remember him. We will.
